Singer Neima Sherpa, born in Jiri, Dolakha, is one of the promising talents of the Nepali music industry.
Neima, who was fond of music since childhood, went on stage for the first time in 2000.
Neima, who succeeded in winning the audience’s heart from the first stage program, then sang continuously in every program held in the Dolakha district and became a well-known artist throughout the district.
Living away from the capital city, his musical journey did not take off and he became depressed.
After a long break, he once again tested himself in music through a reality show called Nepal Star and made a journey to the best 48 out of thousands.
Despite being out of the reality show, he could not escape from the eyes of many musicians.
Being far away from the capital city, he had to wait for one and a half years to get the first opportunity. Famous musician C.L. Sharma gave a break to Neima with song Reshmai ko dori.
He then recorded some songs which were never released. Meanwhile, his first recorded song won the Jury Choice Award for Best Contemporary Singer at the 3rd Natyeshwar Music Awards 2023.
After getting the award, he started getting offers for songs. Songs like Mero Zindagi Ko Yatra, Na Ma Akash Ko Jun Hoon, Ramailo pal Bhan Aaj came to the market.
He also sang a national song which is also registered on Nepal Television, the official television channel of Nepal. The audience liked the song and recently received an award for the best national song singer in the National 2nd Jeevanta Nepal Music Award 2023.
Singer Neima, who has won 4 awards so far, has returned to entertain the audience with his performance in an event organized in Jiri a few days ago. For the past 7/8 months, he has been completely engaged in music and has moved to the capital city Kathmandu.
Having worked with senior musicians like Alok Shree, Nagendra Shrestha, Bhupendra Rayamazi, CL Sharma, Suren Chand, he is also working with the new generation of successful musicians Deepak Sharma, Pawan Ranabhat,Temba Sherpa.
More than half a dozen of his songs are ready for release, believing that you should sing high-quality songs rather than increasing the number.
Apart from music, Neima is also busy with his business.
